I. ITEMS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION:
A. River Walk District defined as follows:
a. Fremont Street - 12th Street East to Hwy 67 & 32 b. Hwy 67 & 32 South to Water Street
c. Water Street East to 1st Street
d. 1st Street North to Fremont
e. 7th Street North of Fremont to St. Paul Street f. 5th Street North of Fremont
g. 3rd Street South of Fremont – includes Indian Hill
B. Establish board of Directors
a. President – Mary Christel-Christel’s Pet Supplies & More b. VP – Bob Schoenborn – Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry
c. Secretary – Cheryl Brack – Cheryl Brack Agency, LLC
d. Treasurer - Julie Lutze – Dairy Queen
e. Directors – Jeff McCarey-MC’s Pub, Jared Roeck-Roeck’s Bakery, Russ Horneck- Goodfellas Barbershop & Dyanna Muldoon-Mueller’s Barbershop
C. Review questions on application
a. Questions / answers reviewed and minor adjustments were made b. Mike Mathes will provide the necessary photos for the application
D. Update on non-profit status 501(c) and Incorporation of the organization a. Attorney Dean Dietrich handling paperwork
II. ITEMS TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE MARCH MEETING
1. Complete application –
a. Majority of it done
b. John Korb and Jeremy Fromm have asked for a letter of support from the City of Kiel
2. Membership drive / dues – EVERYONE
a. Membership is open to any business interested in reviving the downtown area b. Annual Membership dues will be $25
c. Businesses located outside of the defined Kiel River Walk District would be considered
“Associate Members” and will not have voting rights.
d. Each person in attendance will be assigned a couple of businesses to contact. These will be businesses that have not replied to emails and / or attended meeting and / or advised they are not interested. List will be emailed tomorrow.
i. Along with the list will be a membership form and additional information regarding the Kiel River Walk District. Print out information and take along with you when you talk to the businesses.
ii. Please note items highlighted ON MEMBERSHIP FORM– this information is needed from all businesses FOR THE APPLICATION, regardless if they join or not. PLEASE COLLECT WHILE YOU ARE TALKING WITH THEM.
OTHER / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NOT COVERED IN THE MEETING: Mike Mathes has purchased the domain name of www.kielriverwalk.com, created a Webpage (will be available by the end of the week) and a Facebook page AVAILABLE NOW – LIKE AND SHARE THE FACEBOOK PAGE to get the exposure about the Kiel River Walk District out to the public.
